Operation Chihuahua

Tuesday November 12, 2013 / Posted by Kate T.

It’s going to be a paw-some day! We’re at San Francisco International Airport for our fifth Operation Chihuahua Airlift. Since 2010, we’ve worked with San Francisco Animal Care and Control to transport Chihuahuas to the East Coast for adoption into loving homes.

Of course, our 10 Chihuahuas headed to Newark deserve the right send-off! Our official pet liaison, Boo, is joining his furry friends at SFO for dog-gone cool festivities, which will include munching on doggy treats and playing with toys.

We’ll be tracking the journey from 35,000-feet on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram . Join in on the fun and send us travel photos of your canine companions using #VXBark. The cutest pup will win a doggie swag bag including “Boo: The Life of the World’s Cutest Dog” and Virgin America Swag Shop pet favorites.

To give our guests their own treats, today only, take up to 25% off a future flight and donate $5 to the cause when you book a year-end getaway.
