The Need for Speed

Tuesday March 12, 2013 / Posted by Sean H.

My friends have created a fictitious time known as “Sean-time”.  For those of you unfamiliar, it works the same as normal time, only it runs about 15 minutes behind.  Without fail, I notoriously run late to everything and I know I’m not the only one out there.

With the weather warming up and schools letting out for Spring Break, I’m sure I’m not the only one with crystal blue waters and sandy beaches on the brain.  Whether you’re looking at Fort Lauderdale, Cabo, Cancun, Puerto Vallerta or Palm Springs, if your Spring Break plans this year include travel, here are some tips I’ve put together to help you save time and fly like a boss:

  • First, decide on your method of airport transportation in advance.  SFO is convenient for those of you using public transportation and as a bonus, you don’t have to worry about trying to find that elusive parking spot (or paying that fee).  You can also try upgrading to Everyone’s Private Driver™ with Uber, our partner that offers 800 Elevate points for new users after their first ride.
  • Be sure to bookmark our mobile site on your preferred mobile device.  We’ve recently upgraded the site so not only can you check-in and make flight changes, you can also book flights (even with Elevate points) and sign up for Flight Alerts. You can even breeze through security and the boarding process with our mobile boarding pass.  For iPhone users, you now have the ability to save your mobile boarding pass to Apple’s Passbook for added convenience.
  • As a reminder, any liquids or gels in your carry-on need to be limited to 3.4 ounces each, and packed in a re-sealable quart-sized plastic bag.  You can find detailed information and the latest security rules on the TSA’s website at: And if you’re not sure about our carry-on and checked bag policies – get more info here.

Looking to get your Spring Break started early?  For the 21 and over crowd, try one of our Funkin Margaritas with Sauza Hornitos Reposado Tequila, Funkin Margarita Mix and a squeeze of lime.  If tequila isn’t your cup of tea, check out The Cosmopolitan with Absolute Vodka, Cranapple, a squeeze of lime and, like the hotel, just the right amount of wrong.  For more information on our onboard amenities, check out our website here.
