Picture this:

You’re two feet tall, twenty pounds, made from sterling silver and gold, and you want to travel in style from San Francisco to New York.  Which airline do you choose?

For this guy, the choice is an easy one. Virgin America, the only airline headquartered in the Bay Area and the official airline of 2012 World Series Champions, the San Francisco Giants.

Today, the World Series trophy embarks on a 3,000-mile flight across the country in one of our plush First Class seats to celebrate with Giants fans in New York city. In-flight, fans will have the opportunity to grab photos with the trophy, watch the SF Giants’ Channel 8 on our Red™ In-Flight Entertainment System, and even answer trivia questions for a chance to win Giants swag.  During baseball season, guests can make sure never to miss a minute of their favorite hometown team while watching live satellite TV from their seats.

For our fans on the ground, the SF Giants President and CEO, Larry Baer, will be hosting a Live Tweet chat.  Send your questions using the hashtag #sfgtrophy for a chance to have your question answered from 35,000 feet using our in-flight WiFi.

Whether we’re flying on a bearded plane or watching the game from the mood-lit Club Level at AT&T Park, you can be sure that we’re cheering for our hometown team. Go Giants!
