What’s Your Status? Let Your Frequent Flyer Flag Fly

Who said you can’t have your cake and eat it too?  Not us!  We’re excited to roll out our first-ever status match offer for our Elevate® frequent flyers.

You’ve probably already heard about our fleetwide WiFi, sleek planes, and award-winning service. The thing is, you’ve been locked into an unhappy marriage of convenience: your frequent flyer status on someone else.  We’re now giving you license to cheat on your current airline: if you’re an elite status member on one of the two largest legacy airlines in the U.S. (find out which here) – you can apply now to have your status matched on Virgin America for a limited time. The best part? You don’t have to give up your status or any points/miles you’ve earned in your other program – this is truly no strings attached.  If you qualify, you’ll get to enjoy a whole different level of service and some pretty cushy perks:  HELLO club-like moodlighting and space-available upgrades to Main Cabin Select, including bottle service – of the mini variety – on demand.

Earlier this year we launched our new Elevate Gold and Elevate Silver Status levels that offer priority perks like point-earning bonuses, priority check-in and boarding, free checked bags, and more. If you’re not already an Elevate member, you’ve gotta sign up in order to match your status.  If you’re approved, your Elevate status will be updated between 7 and 14 days after your application date – and you’ll be showered with benefits through April 30, 2013. Plus, you’ll have an opportunity to keep your status through the end of 2013 if you earn enough status points by flying Virgin America, Virgin Atlantic, and Virgin Australia. Sounds like a good time to me.
